Description
We are a fast-paced and patient-focused Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care in a compassionate environment. Our procedures range from wisdom tooth extractions and dental implants to advanced jaw surgeries. We're looking for a dependable and skilled patient care coordinator to join our team and support our mission of delivering safe, high-quality surgical care. As a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences by managing scheduling, treatment planning, insurance verification, and ensuring patients are well-informed and supported throughout their surgical journey. We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities: -Greet and check-in patients in a warm, professional manner. -Provide clear explanations of treatment plans, procedures, and financial responsibilities. -Serve as the point of contact for patient questions before and after procedures. -Schedule surgical consultations, follow-up appointments, and procedures. -Coordinate with referring dental offices and ensure accurate transfer of records. -Verify dental insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations. -Discuss treatment costs, present financial options, and assist with payment arrangements. -Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system. -Ensure all necessary consent forms are completed prior to procedures -Monitor office communication channels (phone, email, messaging platforms). -Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and understanding throughout their experience. -Educate patients about pre- and post-operative care instructions. -Follow up with patients post-procedure to check on recovery and satisfaction. Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a dental or oral surgery office (preferred but not necessary) Knowledge of dental/medical terminology and surgical procedures (preferred but not necessary) Familiarity with dental practice management software (WinOMS preferred but not necessary) Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Bilingual a plus (Spanish, etc.) What We Offer: Competitive compensation Paid time off and holidays Health and dental benefits On-the-job training and continuing education opportunities Our office hours are: Monday - Wednesday 7:30am-4:00pm Thursday 6:30am-2:00pm Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
