Description

Front Desk Assistant and Treatment Planning We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and organized Front Desk Assistant to join our team and be part of our fast-paced practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in scheduling and/or confirming appointments, walk out patient and present treatment plans based on insurance benefits. Does this sound like you? Daily responsibilities include: • Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff member. • Schedule and confirm appointments, while understanding insurance eligibility standards. • Obtain dental insurance information and update patient accounts. • Present treatment plans and collect patient portion payments. • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits (prepare breakdown) prior to appointments. • Communicate accurately with staff regarding insurance frequency and eligibility for services. • Assist parents with inquiries regarding their dental insurance coverage as needed. • Update patient records as needed. • Maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Establish and maintain relations with referring offices. • Assist with other front office duties such as checking and responding to emails, writing letters, etc. • Respond to parents’ appointment requests via RevenueWell or email. • Other front office duties as assigned Position Requirements: • Full time availability • Bilingual (English / Spanish) • 1- 3 years experience with dental software, preferably EagleSoft • Working knowledge of dental insurance preferred: PPO, Medicaid and CHIP programs • Familiarity with RevenueWell (patient communication software) is preferred, but not required • Familiarity with dental or medical coding, procedures and terminology. • Be able to present treatment plans • Must have strong organizational skills, attention to accuracy and detail. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, or similar word processing software. • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively • Great interpersonal skills to work with patients, parents, staff members and insurance representatives • Tech savvy • Open to learning
