Dental Assistant/Dental Front Office – Non-corporate, specialist office (Prosthodontist) Current RDA License Required Location: San Antonio, TX (Downtown area) Employment Type: Full-Time Hours: Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm Average hours per week: Approximately 40 - 42 hours Overtime Pay: Yes ⭐ Job details: First 3 Months (Approximate) - Dental Assisting After the First 3 Months (Approximate) - Front Office ⭐ What We’re Looking For: RDA or currently in training for RDA 🦷 Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities First 3 Months - Dental Assisting: Assisting the doctor or hygienist Packing cord Fabrication of temporary crowns and bridges Taking digital X-rays and impressions Pouring models and handling lab work as needed Assisting with surgeries and implant procedures Occasionally helping at the front desk (confirmation calls, scheduling, etc.) Managing inventory and ordering supplies Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace After the First 3 Months - Dental Front Office: Once fully trained in our clinical flow, this role will transition primarily into Dental Front Office responsibilities, including: Greeting patients warmly and creating a professional, welcoming first impression Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient communications Confirming appointments and helping maintain a productive daily schedule Presenting treatment plans and helping patients understand next steps Verifying dental insurance benefits and assisting with insurance-related questions Collecting payments, posting payments, and reviewing patient balances Coordinating with the doctor, hygienist, assistants, and lab to keep the schedule running smoothly Helping manage referrals, lab cases, and follow-up appointments Maintaining accurate patient records and front office documentation Supporting the team wherever needed to provide an excellent patient experience Because this position begins with hands-on dental assisting, the ideal candidate will understand the clinical side of dentistry and be able to communicate confidently with patients about appointments, treatment needs, and office flow. 🌟 Why You’ll Love Working Here: Privately owned office Supportive and experienced team that treats patients like family Modern technology and beautiful Downtown San Antonio location Loyal, professional patient base.
