Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our new endodontic practice. This role is central to the patient experience and clinical workflow, serving as the bridge between patients, providers, and insurance carriers. The ideal candidate is confident, compassionate, and knowledgeable, with a strong background in dental treatment planning, insurance verification, and patient communication. This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to excellent patient care while supporting efficient office operations through the use of modern dental software systems. Key Responsibilities Review clinical documentation and prepare accurate, comprehensive treatment plans for patient presentation Present treatment options and financial responsibilities clearly, professionally, and with empathy Verify dental insurance benefits and coverage using practice management systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, PBS, and TDO Perform insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and eligibility checks for proposed procedures Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, scheduling, billing questions, and follow-up care Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of treatment plans, insurance claims, and billing information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review documentation for accuracy in dental coding and billing, identifying and resolving discrepancies Collaborate closely with doctors and clinical staff to ensure treatment plans align with clinical findings and insurance requirements Support front desk operations, including patient intake, appointment scheduling, and multi-line phone system management as needed Coordinate communication with referring general dentists, including obtaining referrals and sending final reports of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment Maintain an organized inventory of office supplies and dental materials, ensuring availability, cost control, and timely reordering Uphold all health information management standards and maintain strict confidentiality of patient records Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of two to three years of experience in a dental office or clinical setting, with a strong focus on treatment plan coordination and insurance verification Solid understanding of dental terminology, dental coding, and insurance billing processes Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, PBS, or TDO preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, with strong typing and computer skills Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Excellent communication and customer service skills, including professional phone etiquette Ability to clearly explain treatment plans and financial information to patients in an easy understandable manner Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail in documentation and office workflows Bilingual skills English and Spanish (preferred) This position plays a critical role in supporting the clinical team, enhancing the patient experience, and ensuring accurate treatment planning.
