Description

Lake Lucerne Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our advanced implant and cosmetic practice in Orlando. This is not a traditional assistant position. We are looking for someone who is techologically adept, has a fierce mindset that embraces challenging tasks and masters them, thrives under pressure and gets the job done always. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a high-level surgical, digital, and cosmetic environment. Our office specializes in All-on-4 full arch implants, full mouth rehabilitation, veneers, Invisalign, and same-day CEREC restorations. We operate with an in-house lab and advanced digital workflows. A less experienced candidate with the right mindset can be recruited, and will benefit from a company endorsement (training) to become an advanced EFDA with surgical and digital skills on the best equipment and technology available. Otherwise, an already trained EFDA must have the following: ✔ Florida EFDA certification ✔ Strong working knowledge of Dentrix ✔ Understanding of ADA coding for surgical, endodontic, and restorative procedures ✔ Knowledge of what insurance covers and what documentation is needed for claims ✔ Familiarity with endo, restorative or implant surgical instrument setups plus chairside assisting experience ✔ Proficiency in digital scanning (CEREC or similar systems) ✔ Ability to design, mill, stain, and glaze same-day crown restorations (CAD/CAM) ✔ Experience delivering Invisalign cases (records, attachments, aligner delivery, scanning) If you do not have hands-on CEREC and implant experience, this role at the higher end of the salary band will not be a fit. What You Will Do • Assist in advanced implant surgeries (including full arch / All-on-4 cases) • Coordination with in house lab techs to ensure proper documentaiton prosthetic lab scripts • QA lab work to ensure it meets the needs of surgical AoX patients • Set up and break down surgical operatories • Perform intraoral scans and digital impressions • Design and fabricate same-day restorations using CEREC • Deliver Invisalign aligners and manage attachment appointments • Support full mouth rehabilitation and cosmetic procedures • Ensure accurate ADA coding and clinical documentation • Maintain a smooth, efficient clinical flow in a fast-paced environment What We Offer • $21–$27/hour based on skill level • Performance-based bonuses • Paid CE opportunities • Supportive, high-performing clinical team • Modern technology and in-house lab • Opportunity to grow into roles in other departments (e.g. Sales, Front Desk, Lab, Treatment Coordination) We are a luxury, high-end implant and cosmetic practice that values precision, professionalism, and teamwork.
