About the Role
Front Office / Claims
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable Dental Front Office Team Member to join our dental practice. We do have two locations one off Dezavala and i-10 and the other off of 1604 and 281. The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental office. Ideally The candidate should have prior dental front-office experience and be able to confidently handle appealing claims as well as daily administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
Review insurance information and accurately document benefits in the practice management system
Provide patients with accurate information regarding their estimated insurance benefits and financial responsibility
Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
Present treatment estimates and assist patients with understanding their financial options
Coordinate treatment appointments and follow-ups
Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information as needed
Process insurance claims and assist with insurance-related follow-up
Review and post EOBs and insurance payments
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances
Maintain an organized and professional front desk and reception area
Communicate effectively with doctors, dental assistants, hygienists, and other team members
Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for patients
Assist with other front-office duties as needed
Qualifications
Previous dental front-office experience preferred
Experience with dental insurance verification and billing preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology and ADA procedure codes preferred
Familiarity with Dentrix practice management software preferred
Strong understanding of dental insurance benefits, deductibles, annual maximums, waiting periods, and frequency limitations preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy dental office
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who already understands the day-to-day operations of a dental front office and can step into the position with confidence. We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes initiative, communicates well with patients and coworkers, and is comfortable handling insurance, scheduling, patient accounts, and treatment coordination.
Experience with dental insurance verification, claims, EOBs, and treatment estimates is strongly preferred.
