About the Practice
Alfa Dental has been a local fixture, providing a full range of dental services in the metroplex for 45 years. A legacy practice that currently employs 2 doctors, 2 hygienists and 10 support staff. Dr. Wm. Chris Roper has been the owner/operator and lead dentist with Alfa Dental for 31 years. We have the latest technology including a Cerec Omnicam and milling unit, Schick digital x-rays and QSI Dental Web Software.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced (minimum 2 years), bilingual (Spanish), dedicated RDA to join our dedicated, experienced, hardworking, quick paced practice in North Dallas. Alfa Dental has been a local fixture for over 40 years with 2 doctors currently on staff, 2 hygienists and 10 support staff members. We have the latest technology including a Cerec milling unit and Schick digital x-rays. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 6:00pm with a 1.5 hour lunch. We are closed on Fridays. What You'll Do
- Act as a floater Assistant to our two experienced dentists
- Fill in for one of the doctors main assistants when they are out of the office
- Set up and tear down dental operatories between patient appointments according to universal precautions protocols
- Take dental radiographs and impressions as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in the practice management system
- Follow OSHA, CDC and HIPAA protocols to ensure patient and team safety
- Support a team-first culture and uphold Alfa Dental's values in every interaction
- Other duties as it relates to the position
What You'll Bring
Required
- High school diploma
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program with some on-the-job-training
- Active dental assistant certification/license as required by state law
- Active RDA required by state law
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Team player
Preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a dental assisting role
- Proficiency in dental software system (Denticon)
- Bilingual/Spanish
