About the Role
South Beach Dentistry is looking for a Dental Hygienist who would love a rewarding part-time position. Our beautiful office is located in Southern Virginia Beach. Our team is enthusiastic! You will build strong relationships with our wonderful patients. Our practice utilizes state of the art dental equipment, and you will have the support of a dentist who is dedicated to the highest level of quality patient care. Our office provides continue education including travel expenses to various fun locations. We are searching for a team player to join our family at South Beach Dentistry. The ideal candidate for this position will be team-oriented, energetic, compassionate, and empathetic towards patient needs. A great attitude and a passion for dentistry is a must! Work Experience: Experience with Dentrix software and Scan X Scanner is beneficial.
Education/Certifications: BSDH Licensed RDH in the state of Virginia, Proof of certification for local anesthesia if administering.

What You'll Do
- Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding dental care in a supportive environment that values your skills! You will be the front line of preventative care, helping our patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. The ideal candidate possesses a strong clinical skillset, an excellent 'bedside manner', and a passion for patient education. You will perform thorough dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning to remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth. Conduct preliminary oral examinations, take accurate medical and dental histories, and perform oral cancer screenings. Take and interpret high-quality digital X-rays. Instruct patients of all ages on proper brushing and flossing techniques, post-operative care, and dietary choices that impact oral health. Maintain meticulous, up-to-date, and accurate patient charts and treatment notes using our Dentrix practice management software. Disinfect treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and strictly adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC infection control protocols. Apply preventative agents, including fluoride treatments and dental sealants. Work seamlessly alongside the dentist and dental assistants to ensure a smooth daily workflow and an exceptional patient experience.
