Our office is looking for a dental assistant for our pediatric/orthodontic dental office in Rome, Ga. We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable and enjoys working with children. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is Preferred.
Responsibilities include:
taking x-rays , sterilization, charting, assisting the dentist and/or hygienists.
Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus

Position Requirements:
ORTHODONTIST- ABO, AAO
DMD or DDS with a valid GA license (or ability to obtain one)

The Surgical Assistant assists the oral surgeon during procedures such as, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, biopsy of gingiva and bone. The assistant will make notes about performed procedures, progress, recommendations and other subjects in the patient's charts. Surgical assistants must ensure that surgical instruments are properly cleaned and sterilized before procedures begin. Working with x-rays is common and be responsible for tasks such as checking vital signs or maintaining IV fluid flows during procedures.
