Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. - Assist the hygienist with all job functions. - Proficiency in taking full-mouth x-rays, panoramic, and bitewing x-rays in a timely manner. - Prepare patients for their routine visits. - Discuss treatment plans with patients and address any questions they may have. - Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, replenishing items as needed. - Prepare materials for making impressions for bleach trays. - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment. - Obtain dental history and/or records from patients and ensure that health history is up to date for all returning patients. - Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care. - Record patient charting and all doctor notes as directed by the doctor. - Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to the continuing care clerk to ensure a positive patient experience. - Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policy. Training and Education Requirements: - High school diploma. - Good communication skills. - Basic computer knowledge; experience with EagleSoft is a plus. - Eagerness to learn on the job. - Must be a team player and think outside the box. - Ability to keep the hygienist on time in a fast-paced environment.
