Description: One Dental is one of the top providers of onsite mobile dentistry to long term health residents in Georgia. This is an opportunity to help the elderly in nursing homes. They have unique needs and requires a special person with a compassionate heart. We are looking for a dental assistant interested in working around the Atlanta area. Typically, the Dental Assistant will travel on average to two nursing homes a day meeting the dentist, hygienist. Company will cover mileage. Key Requirements * Be able to communicate and work with the elderly * Assist the dentist in all dental procedures, handing instruments and materials to dentist, clear understanding and experience in using suction and other devices, polishing, instrument knowledge. * Prepare patients for treatment, setup trays for dental procedures, including the preparation of materials for impressions, extractions and restorations. * Transport dental supplies, mobile unit. * Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, maintain necessary supply levels * Record patient charting and dental notes, instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care Dental Assistant Training Requirements: * A degree or certificate in dental assisting * 2 or more years of dental assisting experience * Good communication skills both written and verbal * Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
