Description

An Orthodontic Front Desk Treatment Coordinator is a key administrative and patient-facing role in an orthodontic office. This position bridges the gap between the orthodontist and the patient, ensuring that the patient’s experience—from consultation to treatment—is smooth, professional, and welcoming. Key Responsibilities: Patient Scheduling & Reception Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out. Schedule new and existing patient appointments efficiently. Handle high call volume and patient inquiries. Treatment Coordination Present treatment plans to patients after consultation with the orthodontist. Explain financial options, insurance benefits, and payment plans. Follow up with patients who haven’t scheduled treatment. Insurance & Billing Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage to patients. Assist with claim submissions and resolve billing issues. Maintain accurate financial records and track payments. Office Administration Maintain patient records and treatment charts. Coordinate between the clinical staff and front office. Keep the front office area organized and professional. Skills & Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of dental/orthodontic terminology Experience with orthodontic software (preferably TOPS) Basic understanding of insurance and financing options Friendly demeanor with a professional attitude Attention to detail and multitasking ability Desired Experience: 1–3 years in a dental or orthodontic office Prior treatment coordination or administrative experience preferred
