Description

Position: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Location: Douglasville, Georgia ****The EFDA we are looking for must have 3+ years of chair side experience. If you do not meet this criterion, please do not apply.**** We are seeking a knowledgeable, dedicated, and skilled EFDA to join our well-established family dental practice. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive and professional team that is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive dental care. About the Role: As an EFDA, you will play a key role in supporting our dentist and ensuring patients receive an outstanding level of care. We are looking for someone who is a true team player—collaborative, dependable, and committed to working in a positive and respectful environment. Performing other duties as required to help support the office: Front office experience would be advantageous. Skills: Monitor and record vital signs as part of patient assessment. Manage patient records, including medical history and writing and maintaining accurate chart notes Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment and materials needed for procedures Experience with implant procedures and oral sedation dentistry is a plus. Taking dental radiographs including CBCT Excellence with provisionals/ temporary crowns and bridges (This is a must!) Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures Provide post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist. Knowledge of Open Dental software (will train) Qualifications: Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA or RDA) as required by state regulations. Supportive, team-oriented environment.
