Our office Diab Dental & Periodontics is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. We are looking for a skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Your Responsibilities You will be focused on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered. You will help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to resource during their visit which includes the following: Maintaining accurate patient records Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked Preparing surgical areas, instruments, and equipment before each procedure Assisting the surgeon during procedures through 4-handed dentistry anticipating needs and providing direct support Monitoring and recording patient vitals and ensuring patient safety Keeping surgical areas and instruments clean and properly sterilized Providing post-operative instructions and support to patients Supporting general office responsibilities as needed Performing other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager Your Background At least 1-2 years of proven experience as dental assistant, specialty is preferred Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to take x-rays Understanding of Dental X-rays Dentrix experience preferred Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented, dependable, and well-organized Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills A strong attention to detail Your Benefits & Perks PPO Medical insurance Options VSP Vision Coverage Dental Insurance Complimentary Life Insurance Policy Short-term & Long-Term Disability 401(k) HSA / FSA Account Access Paid Time Off Paid Holidays
