Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing thorough assessments, executing dental cleanings, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques within a supportive and professional environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical and dental histories. Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system (Dentrix). Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventative care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients. Stay updated on dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of documentation review processes and patient assessment techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
