Perfecting Smiles with Gentle Hands at 755 Commerce Drive in Decatur is looking for a hygienist to temp for the months October-December. The amount of days per week are 1-3 days Monday-Thursday or 1 day on Friday. The hours for Monday-Thursday are 8:15 am start time with first patient at 9 am and end time 5 pm with the last patient at 3:30 or 4 pm. The hours on Friday are 8:30 am start time with first patient at 9 am and end time 3 pm with the last patient at 1:30 or 2 pm. 1 hour lunch Monday-Thursday either at noon or 1pm. 30 minute lunch on Friday at 12 pm or 12:30 pm. This temporary hygienist position is a hourly pay as a W2 employee, biweekly pay, no additional benefits. Treatment scheduling blocks are: 1 hour for periodic hygiene recall and perio maintenance appts. New patient appts are scheduled for 2 hours. Scheduling blocks of 75-90 minutes: for cleaning with gingivitis and 2 quads SRP 1-3 teeth. Lastly, 2 quads of SRP 1-4 teeth are scheduled for 90-120 minutes. Job requirements and expectations are: proficient hand instrumentation and ultrasonic use to remove stain, plaque and tartar; delivery of antimicrobial products such as arestin; ability to deliver topical or liquid anesthetic agents to provide comfort to patients during procedures. Effective communication skills to encourage periodontal health. Scheduling hygiene patients, calling your hygiene patients for recall and post periodontal procedure follow up. Treatment note documentation, periodontal probing, using dentrix software, taking x-rays using rinn instruments, placement of sealants, teeth whitening, sterilization of instruments, disinfection of treatment rooms and using an itero scanner.
