About Us We are a well-established general dental practice seeking a dedicated and experienced Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time position, with working hours from Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our team proudly serves our community as a PPO practice, combining advanced technology with personalized attention to ensure every patient feels valued and cared for. As our practice continues to grow, we’re seeking a Front Desk Coordinator who is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating an outstanding patient experience. Position Summary The Front Desk Coordinator is the welcoming face of our practice—responsible for ensuring each patient’s visit starts and ends smoothly. This role includes managing patient communication, scheduling, insurance verification, calculating copays, and submitting e-claims. You’ll work closely with our doctors and clinical team to help patients understand their treatment options and make the most of their dental benefits. Key Responsibilities - Provide a warm, professional, and caring welcome to all patients—both in person and over the phone. - Manage phone calls, inquiries, and patient correspondence with professionalism and accuracy. - Greet and check in patients, verifying and updating medical history, HIPAA, and contact information. - Schedule and confirm appointments with attention to efficiency and production goals. - Communicate with insurance carriers to verify benefits, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely payments. - Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims and pre-authorizations. - Present financing and insurance options clearly to help patients move forward with recommended care. - Process patient payments and balance credit transactions daily. - Assist in preparing treatment plans and financial arrangements that align with patient and practice needs. - Coordinate specialist referrals, including sending x-rays and correspondence. Requirements: - A minimum of 3 years’ experience working at the front desk in a general dental practice - Proficient in Dentrix - Proficient in insurance verification, calculating copays, submitting pre-authorization, and sending e-claims - A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for helping patients. - Dependable, detail-oriented, and professional in both appearance and demeanor.
