Front Desk Coordinator with Dental Assisting Experience We are seeking a professional, patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator to serve as the primary point of contact for our patients. This role is ideal for a former dental assistant or someone who has worked in the front desk and who enjoys patient interaction, understands clinical services, and feels confident guiding patients through treatment options, next steps, and general financial expectations. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring seamless patient experiences both at the front desk and in the treatment room. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while also being able to assist chairside when the office gets busy. Our office is dedicated to patient care and built on a strong, supportive team. We're seeking a committed individual looking for a long-term position in a place they can truly call home. We are a fee-for-service practice operating up to 30 hours per week across 3.5 days. This position is best suited for individuals seeking a flexible work environment, as it is not recommended for those requiring additional hours. Key Responsibilities: Front Desk Duties: -Serve as the primary in-office patient liaison, providing a warm, professional, concierge-style experience -Greet patients and support smooth check-in and check-out flow -Respond to new patient and cosmetic inquiries from phone, website, online forms, and social media -Follow up with prospective patients to schedule consultations -Present and explain treatment plans with clarity, confidence, and empathy -Educate patients on procedures, timelines, fees, and financial expectations in a fee-for-service setting -Support cosmetic and restorative case acceptance through relationship-based conversations -Coordinate and schedule consultations and treatment appointments, including follow-up on unscheduled treatment -Discuss financial arrangements and collect payments or deposits prior to treatment -Communicate closely with doctors and the clinical team regarding patient care and scheduling -Maintain accurate treatment and financial documentation in Dentrix -Assist clinically as needed (floater support) while working alongside a dedicated dental assistant -Work closely with the doctor to align clinical recommendations, patient communication, and scheduling priorities -Lead daily huddles and review production, case acceptance, and patient treatment plan metrics with the team to ensure alignment on goals. -Drive practice growth and support achievement of team goals -Help streamline processes with both the clinical staff and the Doctor -Take new patient phone calls -Help with Insurance Verification and Collection efforts Qualifications: -Already worked as a Dental Assistant or Dental Front Desk previously -Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology -Comfortable discussing treatment value and fees in a fee-for-service environment and overcoming objections -Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental software -Strong communication and organizational skills -Ability to multitask and adapt accordingly -Friendly, professional, team player and have a patient-focused attitude -Assertive and able to think outside of the box -Looking for a long-term commitment, not a temporary role Benefits -401k with match -PTO If you are a detail-oriented and patient-focused professional who can handle both front desk duties and occasional chairside assistance, we’d love to meet you!
