See full job description below. DENTAL ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities: Patient Care: Welcoming patients, preparing them for treatment, and providing comfort during procedures. Procedure Assistance: Assisting the dentist with procedures, handing instruments, and maintaining a smooth workflow. Sterilization and Infection Control: Sterilizing instruments, maintaining a clean workspace, and following infection control protocols. Record Keeping: Maintaining patient records, charting procedures, and documenting patient information. X-Ray Procedures: Taking, developing, and mounting dental X-rays. Supply Management: Ensuring adequate supply levels of equipment and materials. Patient Education: Instructing patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Skills and Qualifications: - Certified Dental Assistant with license in Tennessee - Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the dental team. - Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain a clean and efficient workspace. - Technical Skills: Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and equipment. - Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and infection control. - Physical Dexterity: Manual dexterity to handle instruments and maintain a clean workspace. - Compassionate Attitude: Empathy and compassion to provide patients with a positive and comfortable experience. Requirements: current RDA license, CPR certification, coronal polishing, nitrous oxide monitoring, and radiology certificate.
