Description

Our well-established family dental practice in Brentwood, TN is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant/EFDA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of clinical dental assisting experience and be comfortable supporting a wide range of general dentistry procedures. We are looking for a team player who is organized, dependable, and committed to providing excellent patient care in a friendly, patient-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including cosmetic, restorative, crown and bridge, and other general dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper documentation in patient charts Provide chairside support including suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient comfort Sterilize and maintain instruments following infection control protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment procedures Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed Assist with impressions, temporary crowns, and other clinical tasks as required Support a smooth clinical workflow and maintain a clean, organized work environment Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience in a general dentistry setting EFDA certification preferred Current X-ray certification Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a family or general dentistry practice Familiarity with Dentrix practice management software Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience Paid holidays and PTO/Sick Time Dental benefits Continuing education opportunities Supportive team environment
