Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Staff member to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring our patients receive seamless care while supporting the practice’s operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in insurance verification, treatment case presentation, patient communication, and basic clinical support, contributing to both patient satisfaction and practice growth. Fluent Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base. Key Responsibilities: Insurance Verification: Accurately verify patient insurance coverage prior to appointments, including benefits, limitations, and eligibility. Insurance Pre-Estimate: Prepare detailed cost estimates for patients based on their insurance benefits and the proposed treatment plan. Communicate potential out-of-pocket expenses clearly and compassionately. Case Presentation: Present treatment plans to patients in a professional and approachable manner, addressing questions and concerns while helping them understand the recommended procedures. Patient Sales & Support: Assist patients in making informed decisions about their dental care and guide them through payment options, financing, and scheduling. Clinical Support: Take dental X-rays following safety protocols. Clean and prepare operatories between patients to maintain a sterile and organized environment. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate patient records, update insurance information, and handle phone and email inquiries promptly. Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care. Qualifications: Fluent Spanish (required). Prior experience in dental office operations or insurance coordination preferred. Knowledge of dental insurance plans and terminology. Basic clinical skills: X-ray taking and operatory maintenance (training can be provided if needed). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and empathetically. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient in dental office software and Microsoft Office Suite. Skills & Competencies: Patient-focused with a professional and friendly demeanor. Strong sales and customer service skills without being pushy. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex insurance scenarios. Team player with flexibility to assist in other areas of the office as needed.
