Oakboro Family Dentistry is a local, privately owned comprehensive dental office serving the entire family. We are looking to grow an already incredible team with the addition of a new Hygiene Coordinator/Front Desk Check-in. We have five other front office staff and we all work together as a team for the best patient experience. Our office serves Stanly County and surrounding areas with exceptional dental care. Key Responsibilities Check-in: - Patient Welcome: Warmly greet patients upon arrival, manage the check-in process, and notify clinical staff of their arrival. - Intake & Paperwork: Verify and update patient demographics, medical histories, and insurance information in the dental software. Eventually verifying insurance if a card is presented to you at check-in. - Phone Management: Answer incoming calls with a friendly tone, answer questions, triage emergencies. - Lobby Management: Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized reception area. Hygiene Coordination: - Schedule Optimization: Proactively manage and fill the hygiene schedules for maximum productivity, minimizing gaps and downtime. Work closely with the hygienists, communicating clearly and often. - Recare & Continuing Care: Oversee the practice's recare system. Reach out to overdue patients via phone, text, and email to get them back on the schedule. - Treatment Planning: Must be comfortable discussing treatment with patients, primarily on their hygiene needs. -Pre-Appointment Short-Call List: Maintain a 'quick-fill' list to rapidly replace last minute hygiene cancellations. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1–2 years of dental experience is highly preferred (experience with Eaglesoft is a major plus but not necessary). We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong medical front desk or high-end hospitality background. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must love talking to people and feel comfortable making outbound phone calls to recall patients. Multi-Tasking: Ability to handle a busy phone line and a patient standing in front of you with grace and poise. Detail-Oriented: Laser-focused on scheduling rules, time blocks, and accurate charting. This job is in-person, must be local to Stanly County! Hours: Monday and Wednesday: 7:45am-4:00pm Tuesday: 7:45am-5:00pm Wednesday: 7:45am-4:00pm Thursday: 7:45am-5:00pm Friday: 7:45am-2:00pm This is a full-time position with benefits that include vacation/sick PTO, 401k matching, health insurance and employee discounts.
