As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dental professionals in providing exceptional oral healthcare services to our patients. Responsibilities:
Assist dentists and dental hygienists in various procedures, including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other dental treatments.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dental team.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, post-treatment care, and preventive dental practices.
Ensure the smooth flow of patients by managing appointment schedules, maintaining efficient patient throughput, and organizing dental supplies.
Provide compassionate chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sterilization in accordance with industry guidelines.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant is highly desirable.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
Familiarity with dental software systems for recordkeeping and patient management.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and empathize with patients of all ages.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Current CPR certification is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team.
