Schedule (days/hours)
MON-8am-5pm TUE & WED 9am-6pm THU 8am-5pm FRI 7am-4pm
Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional patient care and create a welcoming environment for all patients in alignment with our G3 model (Greeting, Guiding, Gratitude)
Promote a Safe Smile Space (S3) for everyone, where safety and inclusion are paramount
Provide dental prophylaxis and periodontal treatments
Screen patients’ periodontal health
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
Perform oral cancer screenings
Screen for individual needs including malocclusion and educate patients about potential impacts
Continually develop leadership capabilities and business acumen through continued learning opportunities provided both externally and by Smile Brands
Qualifications
Either an active state hygiene license or eligibility to become licensed (new grads are welcome!)
A current CPR certification
Compensation
$64 -$70 per hour

We are a privately owned 4 operatory dental practice in the heart of West Seattle looking for a motivated Dental Hygienist to fill in for a full time maternity leave. New graduates are highly encouraged to apply as this would be a great office to begin a career in dentistry. We have a great long term staff who are extremely helpful. You'll find the office to be extremely comfortable with a relaxed working environment. Position comes with 2 weeks PTO, Medical insurance and highly competitive hourly compensation. Dates of maternity leave are July 18-December 10th.
*At this point we would prefer to hire a full time hygienist however we are open to applicants looking to work one or two days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Take (x-rays) using Dexis/Dentrix
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive dental care
Experience:

- Proficient in infection control protocols and procedures
- Knowledge of dental systems, medical coding, and medical documentation
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform patient assessments
- Familiarity with aseptic technique in a dental office setting
