ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, or malformations of teeth, gums, or related oral structures and provides preventive or corrective services.
· Eliminates irritating margins of fillings and correct occlusions using dental instruments.
· Examines teeth, gums, and related tissues, using dental instruments, x-rays, or other diagnostic equipment, to evaluate dental health, diagnoses diseases or abnormalities, and plans appropriate treatments.
· Fills pulp chamber and canal with endodontic materials.
· Treats pulp exposure by pulp capping, removal of pulp from pulp chamber, or root canal, using dental instruments.
· Formulates plan of treatment for patient's teeth and mouth tissue.
· Manages business, employs and supervises staff, and handles paperwork and insurance claims.
· Performs oral or periodontal surgery on the jaw or mouth.
· Plans, organizes or maintains dental health programs.
· Produces or evaluates dental health educational materials.
· Removes diseased tissue using surgical instruments.
· Uses air turbine, hand instruments, dental appliances, and surgical implements.
· Works by all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
· Complies with the standards set forth by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), federal or accreditation regulations, including but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American Medical Association (AMA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
· Examines individuals requesting care, diagnoses their dental condition, prescribes and carries out, or directs others in appropriate dental treatment, or refers individuals for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines.
· Records patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patient's dental record so that the dental record accurately and ultimately reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient, and the care of treatment provided. In addition, complete patient referrals and other records and paperwork as required occasionally by the corporation.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
· Valid driver's license with a good driving record and provide own transportation.
· Current and unrestricted licensed Dentist in the State of Texas by the American Dental Association (ADA)
· Board-eligible or board-certified oral surgeon (Not Required To Apply)
· Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
· Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.)
· Pay based on experience.

Pay: $105,300.00 - $205,408.00 per year
