Description Oral Surgery Clinical Assistant Hours: Mon – Thurs 7:20a – 4:30p; Friday 7:20a – 2p Job type: permanent, full time Qualifications: - High school or equivalent (preferred) - Dental office experience: 5 years (preferred) - Customer service: 1 year (preferred) Our boutique, growing office-based oral surgery practice is currently seeking an experienced, competent, and mature oral surgery assistant. Requirements: - Positive, cheerful attitude - Ability to constructively work in a group/team environment - Attention to detail and ability to efficiently multi-task - CPR/BLS certification - Excellent communication skills - Must display a high level of professionalism -Excellent Time management skills The ideal candidate would have prior oral and/or dental surgery experience, as well as familiarity with the specialty of oral surgery. Added consideration will be given to candidates who have experience with IV sedation and dental implant surgeries. Also added consideration and compensation will be given to candidates with phlebotomy skills and/or DAANCE certification. Proficiency with WinOMS practice management software is desirable. Note: Prior dental assisting and/or surgical assisting experience IS mandatory to apply Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): seating consultation patients, taking panoramic and CBCT radiographs, obtaining patient vital signs, setting up clinical suites for surgical procedures, sterilization, chairside surgical assisting, reviewing post-surgery instructions with patients and/or family members. At times clinical assistants may be called upon to assist our front office staff by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and correspondence with referral offices.
