DENTAL HYGIENIST QUALIFICATION: Graduate from an accredited program in dental higiene Pass the National Board of dental Hygiene exam Pass the regional or state clinical board exam. EXPERIENCE: Minimun 1 year of experience JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and be able to provide high-quality customer service. Hygienists are responsible for greeting patients and making them feel comfortable. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Clean, descale and polish teeth 2. Examine and treat gums for infection 3. Performs patient screening for possible oral cancer or infections 4. Educates patients about their oral higiene 5. Takes x-rays 6. Maintains dental supply inventory 7. Keeps patient info confidential 8. Removes dental sealants 9. Removes dental sealants 10. Examine patients’ teeth and treat diseases with the help of a licensed dentist 11. Practices safe infection control procedures 12. Other tasks that are assigned according to the nature of the position. Bilingual person Spanish/English is a pluss
