Job description Responsibilities: - Assist orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment during orthodontic procedures - Take and record patients OH and treatment progress - Prepare treatment chairs and sterilize instruments - Assist with taking dental scans and X-rays - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality - Perform basic dental coding - Collaborate with the orthodontist and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Orthodontic Assistant - Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays - Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures - Familiarity with dental imaging software such as Cloud 9 - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills: - Certification as an Orthodontic Assistant or Dental Assistant - Experience with orthodontic appliances, such as braces or retainers - Familiarity with orthodontic software for treatment planning and progress tracking We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
