Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures at our family practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort. Treatment plan efficiently with the doctor Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient flow, including scheduling appointments and coordinating with the dental receptionist as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when required. Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control measures throughout all procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members. Knowledge of medical coding and documentation practices is advantageous. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory. **Salary based on experience and is negotiable** Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
