Position Overview: The Dental Front Office Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and organized environment. This position manages patient scheduling, insurance verification, financial communication, and overall administrative flow to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Hours: Monday through Friday 8AM to 4PM with a 1 hour lunch. Key Responsibilities Patient Experience: Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulation Scheduling & Office Coordination: Schedule and confirm patient appointments Manage the daily schedule to optimize provider productivity Send appointment reminders and manage cancellations or reschedules Coordinate patient flow between the front and back office Insurance & Financial Coordination: Verify dental insurance benefits prior to appointments Explain treatment plans, insurance coverage, and estimated costs to patients Collect co-pays and payments at time of service Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system Process new patient paperwork and update existing records Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence Assist with reports, recall systems, and patient communications Qualifications: Previous dental front office or dental administrative experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes Experience with dental practice management software (Open Dental) preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and positive attitude Skills: Customer service focused Detail-oriented Strong phone etiquette Problem-solving ability Team-oriented mindset Benefits (if applicable): Competitive pay Paid time off Dental benefits Continuing education opportunities
