The Ben Massell Dental Clinic a fast-paced state of the art dental facility with over 100 volunteer dentists providing quality dental care to individuals in Metro Atlanta. The clinic has 15 operatories and the absolute latest in dental equipment. The clinic has an opening for a full time dental assistant. This position is perfect for the experienced Dental Assistant in search of work-life balance. PURPOSE: Responsible to the dentist on duty. Facilitates an efficient flow of patients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned • Facilitating an efficient flow of patients and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Providing chair-side assistance to the dentist when treating patients including: seating patients, prepare and arrange dental materials and instruments, assessing health history, giving post-operative instructions and preparing for the next patient. Ability to multi-task - ability to work in a fast-paced clinic with multiple dentists as a daily routine. • Keeping all operatories clean; maintains an adequate stock of materials for the attending dentist. • Uses sterile techniques adhere to proper procedures in sterilization and PPE standards/equipment maintenance. • Must be knowledgeable and Experienced in the following: Digital x-rays and be able to take necessary radiographs. Fixed and removable prosthetic procedures. Fabricate temporary crowns. CAD/CAM and CEREC crowns knowledge is helpful. Excellent record/documentation skills are required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Graduate of a certified dental assistant school, obtained diploma or certificate. • Minimum of 2 years previous work experience as a full time dental assistant. Paid assistant may be substituted for formal education on a year to year basis.
