Dental Assistant – Cross-Trained Clinical & Administrative Role Mount Vernon Dental Group – Dunwoody, GA Mount Vernon Dental Group is looking for a Dental Assistant who is interested in expanding their skills into administrative and patient coordination responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys clinical dentistry but also wants to learn the front office and leadership side of the practice. We are a patient-centered private practice (non-corporate) located in beautiful Dunwoody, with a close-knit team that includes one experienced dentist, one hygienist, and two front office team members. Schedule Tuesday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM One Saturday per month: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Position Overview This role combines chairside dental assisting with training in administrative and patient coordination responsibilities. You will assist the doctor clinically while also gaining experience with front office operations, treatment coordination, and patient communication. Responsibilities: Clinical Responsibilities: Assist the doctor chairside during procedures Take high-quality dental X-rays Prepare and break down operatories Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols Support smooth patient flow throughout the day Administrative / Patient Coordination Responsibilities: Assist with scheduling and patient coordination Help present treatment plans and follow up with patients Verify insurance and assist with benefit explanations Provide estimates and collect copays Help create a welcoming and organized patient experience Ideal Candidate: Dental assisting experience preferred Skilled at taking dental X-rays Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills Organized and dependable team player Eager to learn and grow professionally Interested in developing skills in treatment coordination, patient communication, and practice administration Why Join Mount Vernon Dental Group?
