Key Responsibilities * Patient Care & Clinical Support: Deliver seamless 4-handed dentistry, anticipating the doctor's needs. Assist with a full range of treatments, including cosmetic, restorative, surgical, and sedation cases. Prepare rooms and instruments meticulously, maintaining sterile environments in full compliance with OSHA and HIPAA protocols. Take high-quality radiographs, intraoral photos, and digital impressions (iTero/Trios). * Patient Experience & Communication: Build trust by greeting every patient with warmth and professionalism. Use non-technical language to explain procedures, treatment options, and post-operative care clearly. Stay present with patients—never leave them unattended; provide conversation and reassurance to reduce anxiety. Utilize visual aids to enhance patient comprehension. * Charting & Documentation: Accurately document all clinical notes, conversations, and procedural details in the patient record. Use charting templates to log anesthetics, materials used, techniques performed, and patient responses. Ensure consent forms are completed and scanned. * Lab & Treatment Coordination: Manage lab cases with urgency and accuracy—submit within one business day. Confirm that treatment plans are signed before care begins. Review next-day patient schedules in advance to prepare for any unique needs. * Team Collaboration: Actively participate in daily morning huddles and doctor check-ins. Communicate clearly with the business team, clinical team, and insurance coordinators to support seamless patient care. Model professionalism and a solutions-oriented attitude. * Financial Awareness: Collect payment at the time of service and document arrangements accurately. Understand basic insurance coordination. Preferred Qualifications * At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant. * Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and current CPR certification. * Comfortable assisting with fillings, crowns, cosmetic, and surgical procedures. * Skilled in 4-handed dentistry and maintaining a sterile, organized operatory. * Experience with digital X-rays, panoramic, CBCT scans, intraoral photos, and iTero or CEREC scans. * Experience with oral or IV sedation preferred. * Familiar with dental software (CareStack is a plus). * Follows OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. * Communicates clearly and helps patients feel calm and informed. * Works well on a team and adapts easily to a fast-paced day.
