Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced dental environment. The EFDA will support the doctor in delivering efficient, high-quality treatment while ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for every patient. Key Responsibilities Perform expanded functions duties in accordance with state regulations Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures Take digital radiographs and impressions Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols Provide excellent chairside support and patient education Accurately chart treatments and update patient records Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient workflow Qualifications & Requirements EFDA certification in the state of Georgia Minimum of 1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred Proficiency with digital X-rays and dental software (Open Dental experience is a plus) Strong knowledge of dental procedures, materials, and instruments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Current CPR certification Preferred Qualifications Experience with restorative and surgical procedures Familiarity with implant workflows and crown/bridge procedures Experience in a multi-provider practice Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay starting at $23/hour (based on experience) Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive, team-oriented work environment Paid time off and holiday benefits (if applicable) Work Environment / Culture At Braselton Smile Studio, we foster a team-driven culture where communication, accountability, and positivity are key.
