Orthodontic Dental Assistant Job Posting
Imagine Orthodontics
$28 per Hour
Description
About Us: Imagine Orthodontics is a brand-new, patient-first orthodontic practice opening in September 2026 in the North Druid Hills/Morningside area of Atlanta. We're founded by India Collier, DMD, a board-certified orthodontist who is building a practice around warmth, clear communication, and genuinely great patient experiences. This is a ground-floor opportunity. You won't be one of many team members, you'll be THE team member, working directly alongside the doctor to build something from scratch and grow into it over time. The Role: We're looking for someone positive, high-energy, self-motivated, and willing to go above and beyond to make our patient experience the best it can be. We smile and laugh a lot here, and we want to keep that good vibe going as we build this practice from the ground up. This role wears many hats by design: front desk, treatment coordination, scheduling, marketing, and regular chairside assisting, all rolled into one. As the practice grows, so does this role, with a clear path toward practice manager responsibilities and compensation as we reach growth milestones. We start small and grow intentionally. You'll begin at 2 days a week and grow into a 4-day workweek over the next 12 to 24 months, right alongside patient volume. What You'll Do: Patient & Front Office • Answer phone calls and messages, respond to patients within 24 hours • Schedule and maintain the office calendar • Greet patients and keep the office running smoothly and looking great Treatment Coordination • Take new patient calls and schedule consultations • Present treatment plans, review contracts, and follow up with patients • Gather insurance information and assist with verification Clinical Support • Assist chairside • Take diagnostic records (photos and x-rays) • Support fixed appliances, aligner therapy, and retainer care • Review oral hygiene protocols with patients • Use an intraoral scanner • Sterilize instruments and help manage same-day starts and emergency appointments • Support lab communication and records flow • Maintain a clean, organized office Financial & Administrative • Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records • Assist with practice management software (Greyfinch) for patient forms, data, and scheduling • Support monthly financial reporting to the doctor Marketing & Community • Help manage social media presence • Support referral relationships with local dentists and the community • Assist with community events as the practice grows What We're Looking For: • Orthodontic experience required (front office, treatment coordination, or clinical background all welcome) • Positive, high-energy, and self-motivated, with a willingness to go above and beyond for patients • Warm, friendly, and confident with patients and on the phone • Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-growing startup environment • Self-starter who takes ownership without needing constant direction • Excited about growing long-term with a practice from day one Compensation & Benefits: • Starting at $28/hour, competitive based on experience • W2 employment • Paid time off and paid holidays • Room to grow into a larger role (and larger compensation) as the practice grows How to Apply Send your resume and a short note about why you'd love to grow with our practice for years to come.
