Eagle Mountain Family Dental is looking for a talented professional to
fill a Full-time Registered Dental Assistant position. Registered dental
assistants are assigned duties and responsibilities which involve licensed
professional work in providing dental services. Our dental assistant performs
a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Our dental
assistant prepares patients for procedures and assists all dental
professionals in providing treatment to our patients. A registered dental
assistant implements appropriate standard of care, assists a dentist in
providing dental services, provides dental hygiene assessments, treatment
planning with the dentist, and conducts oral and overall health care education
and instruction to patients. Dental Assistants work collaboratively with the
dental team to make quality patient care a priority.

Essential Functions:
• Perform functions in accordance with Texas Dental Auxiliaries Table of
Permitted Duties.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply
levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential function satisfactorily.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your
patients feel comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the
doctor and other dental auxiliaries - thereby enabling them to provide
efficient, quality dental treatment.
• Obtain dental history and/or records from patient (review patient
health history). Ensure that the health history is updated for all returning
patients.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures of patients as
appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients mouths
dry and clear by using suction or other devices.
• Prepare materials for making impressions and restorations
• Make temporary crowns
• Pack cord
• Take alginates
• Pour and Trim models
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Record patient charting and all doctor notes in the digital patient
chart as directed by the doctor. Ensure the doctor has reviewed treatment
record and health history.
• Clean each operatory in accordance with the American Dental
Association guidelines.
• Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in
accordance with Company policy.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g.,
OSHA, TWC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, HR policies and practices).
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Cleans and polishes removable appliances
• Actively participates in the achievement of patient satisfaction and
office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of
patient service.

Qualifications
Dental Assistants must be licensed and in good standing with the State of
Texas.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
Dental Assistants must be willing to partner with the dentist, work well as
part of the total dental team.
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years experience as a Dental Assistant
