Position: Dental Assistant Location: East Cobb Hours: M-W 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Th 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM Closed F-Sun We are a family-owned and operated dental practice in East Cobb, proudly serving generations of loyal patients since the 1980s. What We’re Looking For: Seeking an organized and dedicated dental assistant to provide efficient support for our dental team. This position involves direct assistance to the dentist during procedures, preparation of treatment areas, patient communication, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.​ Duties and Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and professionalism at all times.​ Sterilize and prepare instruments, treatment rooms, and dental equipment in compliance with infection control standards.​ Assist the dentist at chairside during exams, restorative procedures, extractions, and other dental treatments.​ Take dental X-rays, impressions, and perform other clinical support functions as needed (as legally permitted).​ Maintain, update, and file patient records and assist with appointment scheduling and recall.​ Deliver postoperative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.​ Manage inventory, order supplies, and restock treatment areas.​ Help manage office tasks such as answering phones and supporting billing or insurance claims.​ Requirements and Qualifications Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program preferred.​ Dental X-ray certification or willingness to obtain, as required by state law.​ 1+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.​ Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification preferred.​ Computer proficiency and familiarity with dental software systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional appearance.​ Key Skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.​ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.​ Effective organization and multitasking skills.
