We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental Office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: * Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available. * Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, providing comfort and support throughout their visit. * Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. * Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. * Operate dental equipment and assist in taking radiographs as needed. * Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. * Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas according to infection control protocols. * Support pediatric dentistry practices by engaging with young patients in a friendly manner. Skills: * Must be a DA II Certified in North Carolina. * Proficiency in dental terminology. * Experience working with children is a plus. * Coronal polishing certification preferred. * Strong understanding of OSHA regulations. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively. * Willingness to learn new software system.
