Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Orthodontic Clinic Assistant to join our team. This role supports the orthodontist and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining a smooth, efficient clinical environment, and fostering a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities: *Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures *Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures *Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment *Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and photographs *Assist with orthodontic procedures such as bonding brackets, adjusting wires, and removing appliances *Provide patient education on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions *Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in the practice management system *Manage inventory of clinical supplies and restock treatment areas *Ensure clinic cleanliness and adherence to safety standards *Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication Qualifications: *1Year of Dental Assisting *High school diploma or equivalent required *Dental assisting certification (required) *X-ray certification (required) *Knowledge of sterilization and infection control procedures *Experience with orthodontic software is a plus Skills & Competencies: *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills *Strong attention to detail and organization *Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment *Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Working Conditions: This is not a “stand around and wait” position. If you like being busy, staying organized, and being part of a team that runs efficiently and takes pride in patient care, you’ll do well here. If you need a slower-paced working environment or highly repetitive work, this likely would not be the right fit.
