This is partly because of who he is on the inside, yet he’s also ONE of ONLY 12 doctors in the ENTIRE United States who’s both a dual certified ORTHODONTIST AND PROSTHODONTIST! This is HUGE! What we deliver is genuine, and both professionals and patients have taken notice. We’re NOT a high-volume office, nonetheless we might work harder, due the complexity of our patients needs and the level of quality we EACH seek. Working hours are approximately 7:40am-5:30pm, 4 days a week, and roughly 6 Saturday’s a year(1/2 days ONLY) Shared, common duties and divided as needed include: •Patient calls, check-ins, appointment scheduling/recall, verifying insurance benefits, contracts, collecting payments, and managing patient treatment plans. •Facilitating new patient welcome/end of treatment photos, and photo shoots •Coordinating appointments, doctor orders, records, information with other practices • Filing and collecting insurance (Ortho and Prosthodontics for patient reimbursement) •Basic bookkeeping, daily deposit preparation, and practice reporting and analytics •Maintaining front office areas, minor clean up and periodic office maintenance or scheduling •Frontline computer support, working with external IT support as needed •Tracking and ordering front office supplies Additional SECONDARY opportunities for the MOTIVATED: •Internal and external marketing with an emphasis on online marketing •Manage online reviews and surveys •Basic website updating – refreshing content, adding photos, etc •Plan community/charity events and patient outreach programs •Coordinate staff meetings, lunches, birthdays and holiday events •Newsletters and miscellaneous correspondence •Personal assistant to practice owner(s) •Manage in-office Dental Assisting school including student recruitment, record keeping and compliance with the Texas Workforce Commission SKILLS REQUIRED: •Previous Orthodontic or Dental office experience •Patient collection and/or insurance filing/collection experience •Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy collecting patient information and input into patient management system. • Due to our patient’s complex dental needs, JOA has many “moving parts,” requires an organized multi-tasker that can shift gears quickly and a motivated self-starter •Methodical thinker, solution finder •Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint •Strong writing, communication, and intermediate math skills •Ability to read, understand, and explain a patient ledger BONUS SKILLS: •Go-getter personality with desires for advancement •Willingness to cross train and use skills as needed.
