Dental Assistant-Great Opportunity for the right person who wants to expand their DA career and skills! South Suburbs Chicago, IL • Naperville, IL Description MUST be a high energy person that can handle working at multiple south and west suburban offices! Outstanding opportunity to expand your Ortho Assisting skills and work with wonderful Orthodontics. Full time but will have no issues traveling to Naperville , Frankfort, Romeovile & Lockport. Although you are traveling to multiple practices your schedule would be consistent with little to no weekly change. The hours would be a standard 9am - 5pm. If you're a DA that is just bursting to learn other aspects of dentistry, we will talk to you! As long as you're willing to to learn, work hard and just be a sponge, we will work with you! At least a solid 1-2 years of general DA with a diploma or taking continuing education classes now-we can train - we've also had success in training Ortho to GP DA's. Provide a high level of patient service and excellent chair side manner Assist and take direction from the doctor during treatment procedures while anticipating doctor and patient needs Take diagnostic digital radiographs Verify, communicate, and document patient medical and dental histories and updates Log and save appropriate patient data and doctor notes during exams and treatment procedures Perform with efficiency and accuracy in procedures to maintain timeliness and proper patient flow in doctor’s schedule Prepare treatment rooms with supplies and instruments needed for scheduled dental procedures Proper sterilization of instruments and patient operatories Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform the job successfully Maintain the dental supply inventory and place orders as assigned by the Office manager Make preliminary impressions, fabricate custom impression trays, and pour trim and polish study casts Track and communicate incoming and outgoing lab cases with front office team to ensure proper patient appointments Assist hygienists when necessary Participate as a contributing member of the office staff team to achieve patient satisfaction and office production goals. Partner with front and back office team members to support patient flow Resolve patient questions and concerns or escalate to the Office Manager in a timely manner Ask feedback on the patient experience in the form of participation in reviews, survey response, and referrals Requirements High school diploma or GED Current CPR/AED certification A minimum of 2 years experience as a dental assistant Strong customer service and communication skills Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training as required by law Outstanding customer service skills and positive attitude and demeanor Professionalism in relation to job duties and appearance Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work in a fast paced environment Ability to travel locally for training and scheduled meetings
