Must Have • CPR certification • Texas X-ray license (RDA) • Ability to work independently • Ability to adapt to a variety of settings • Ability to multi-task • Well-organized • Strong customer (patient) service skills • Good communication skills Duties and responsibilities as a dental assistant that must be follow: • Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including root canals, crowns, surgical extractions, dentures/partials, fillings. • Preparing instrument trays ahead of time for a variety of dental procedures. • Preparing room for dental procedure prior to seating patient. • Taking digital x-rays using (Dexis) and Taking and developing Panoramic (x-rays) • Taking blood pressure and pulse • Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment and following ADA infection control protocol. • Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment and Providing them with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures. • Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing) • Taking impressions of patients for dentures, partials, temporary crowns, study models and permanent crowns, as well as taking and pouring alginate impressions for models. • Making and seating temporary crowns using Luxatemp temporary material. • Try-in and seating permanent crowns, and try-in and delivering Dentures and partials, and be able to adjust delivered dentures and partials. • Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer. * such as making recall phone calls. • Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies). • Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery. • Cleaning and sterilizing room after each patient and before new patient is brought into the room. And sterilizing instruments after each use. • Working as a team, and helping each other to maintain cleanness and sterilized environment. • Maintaining room stock with supplies for daily use. • Turning on/off equipment at the beginning and ending of the work day.
