The Dental Center of Florence has an exciting opportunity for a Dental Lab Technician position in our same-day denture laboratory! Benefits include: Accrued Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Medical Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Supplemental Insurance Dental Discount Program 401K Plan w/Company Match Parental Leave Summary The Denture Lab Technician fabricates prostheses according to dentist prescriptions and replaces partial or total loss of natural teeth by constructing partial or full dentures. Must be able to work at a very fast pace, possess excellent hand dexterity, be detail-oriented and have the ability to stand on your feet all day. Essential Functions Operates and maintains a variety of dental laboratory tools and equipment such as trimmers, grinders, lathes, articulators, and cleaning devices. Foster team spirit by actively participating and contributing to huddle team meetings, and contribute to a positive work environment. Minimum Qualification Must have at least 1 year experience as a dental lab technician including setting dentures and partials Required Skills Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are needed. Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed patient expectations. Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility with changes in workload. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strict adherence to policies and regulations relating to OSHA and HIPAA. Physical Requirements Good eye-hand coordination and color perception, dexterity in using small instruments, the patience to attend to minute detail and an interest in learning the underlying material science. Physical stamina sufficient to perform frequent bending, light or moderate lifting and extensive standing/walking. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, cold, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases. Frequently walking and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) Ability to lift/push/pull greater than 50 lbs.
