Description

Well established general dental practice located in the heart of South Tampa is seeking a Front Office Patient Coordinator. Practice accepts only PPO plans or Fee for Service. Office has an extremely loyal and diverse patient base, and we strive to provide every patient a unique personalized experience. This is what sets us a part. To be successful in this role, you must truly enjoy interacting with all kinds of people and desire to provide a customized visit. This position is a vital patient interface for the office and requires a dynamic professional with excellent communication skills to coordinate many front desk activities and work flow of the office. Responsibilities • Answer incoming telephone calls • Address patient questions and concerns • Schedule patient appointments • Contact patents regarding unscheduled treatments • Greet patients upon arrival, follow COVID-19 protocols, take temperature, process forms, update patient records, and provide further instructions • Perform detail Insurance Verifications • Price out and present patient Treatment Plans • Process patient payments • Participate in daily Morning Huddle Meetings • Predetermine patient collection amounts • Batch and file dental claims daily with appropriate narratives and electronic attachments • Monitor Insurance Aging Report and follow-up on unpaid claims • Assist with posting insurance payments and account adjustments • Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned Qualifications and Skills • Team player who understands your role within the organization and how it interrelates to all others • Prior experience in a front desk capacity in a dental office environment • Solid experience using DENTRIX Software including patient scheduling, patient ledgers, patient charts, claim filing, insurance narratives, digital x-ray attachments, insurance appeals, treatment plans, and predetermination of benefits • Comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedural codes and PPO dental plans • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a potentially fast paced environment • Engaging personality with excellent phone skills • Professional writing skills to communicate with patients, insurance companies, and vendors • Reasonable Math aptitude • Reasonable technology skills required to use computer, fax, phones, printer, scanner • Reasonable knowledge of use of email, internet, MS Word, Google Docs • High School Diploma required. Additional certifications and college coursework or degree a plus. Hours, Compensation, and Benefits • Typical office hours are Mon-Wed 8:15-5:00, Thu 6:30-2:00, subject to occasional temporary adjustments. Average 30-34 hours per week. • Pay grade generally $18-$22 per hour - may increase depending upon overall experience and qualifications • Paid holidays corresponding to work days • Paid Time Off • Generous Dental Discount Plan for employee, spouse or partner, and children up to age 18. • Profit Sharing/Bonus possible, at owners discretion, based upon quarterly, semi-annual, and/or annual office production and collection data. • Retirement Savings Plan with employer match anticipated effective 1/1/2022.
