Job Description: The Role: Experienced Front Desk Receptionist This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the front desk’s broad scope of responsibilities including patient scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, handling of insurance verification and submitting insurance claims. The person in this role must use independent thinking and judgment to help ensure the office operates smoothly and efficiently. The position requires someone with a strong attention to detail, good organization, and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities: • Manage an active calendar of appointments, understand priority / urgency, and reorganize appropriately • Expedite handling of correspondence, global e-mail requests and phone calls while maintaining a high level of discretion and communicating professionally in writing and verbally across all levels of the company and externally • Open and close office according to office protocol • Check-in and check-out patients • Create financials for all treatment plans and discuss financials with parents/guardians • Answer incoming calls to the office • Manage unscheduled, treatment pending, ASAP and recall lists to ensure patient follow through • Complete insurance verification • Batch and send insurance claims each day • Manage outstanding claims • Continuously look for ways to improve efficiencies of day-to-day tasks Additional Requirements: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Team orientation • Excellent planning and analytical skills Hours and Compensation • Working hours will initially be Monday 8:00-5:00, Tuesday 8:00-5:00 and Thursday 8:00-5:00, but will expand to Wednesdays soon. • The position comes with a competitive salary based on experience and skill set.
