Some hygienist clean teeth….and then there are hygienist that get the crap of out teeth and make it fun!!! The Engel Dental Center is looking for a rock star hygienist to scale, scrap,floss, polish and clean crap out of teeth and keep our patients loving coming to the dentist. Our office is a seasoned close knit team that works well together, has a lot of fun and laughs, and the work day flies by! Our hygienist (or the “Perio Princess” as she refers to herself) is having shoulder surgery and we will need a temp to help during the month of July. During this temp phase we hope to find the perfect addition to our dental team, adding a hygienist 2-3 days per week (perm). Our Charlotte dental office is looking for an individual with skills of being energetic, highly motivated and clinically versed in a surgical, cosmetic and educational environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional hygiene care with the most up to date technology. Requirements: RDH Certification Excellent patient relations Experience in building a strong periodontal program with consistent recare Preferred: BA/BS Dental Hygiene Dentrix and Dexis experience Assisted Hygiene Schedule with a Hygiene Assistant Please EMAIL to , your resume with a cover letter detailing what you are looking for in a Dental Hygiene position, your salary requirements and any references. Educate patient on oral hygiene/health/disease as well as procedures and services; establish/communicate continued care. Complete periodontal charting per guidelines. Use intraoral camera Screen for Oral Cancer Take and record patient’s blood pressure accurately Offer fluoride treatment to all patients Perform routine dental prophylaxis for periodontaly healthy patients Non-surgical periodontal therapy (scaling/root planing) Take alginate impressions and fabricate whitening trays Maintain accurate and legible notes in patient’s chart
