Practice Coordinator Job Responsibilities: Our busy West Knoxville dental office is seeking highly motivated, professional, friendly, patient-driven Practice Coordinator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a confident, strong communicator who is well-organized and can multi-task, while ensuring high quality care is given to the patient. A good understanding of systems while exhibiting a willingness to be flexible is essential. The candidate must be able to effectively develop a strong working relationship with the Doctor, while promoting teamwork. Being computer literate and having a good command of the English language is necessary. This role is vitally important in maintaining the highest level of dental care provided to our valued patients. Practice Coordinator Job Duties: · Possesses a working knowledge of dentistry that assists the doctor and clinical team in explaining treatment methods to patients. · Manages daily, weekly, and monthly schedules in an efficient and timely manner by following guidelines of block scheduling. · Actively looks to fill both doctor and hygiene schedules. · Maintains and monitors the accuracy of Curve data. · Efficiently and effectively maintains and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly progress on production/collection goals to evaluate what changes, if any, need to be made to the scheduling mentality. · Confirms patients for the next day. · Monitors text and email communication system periodically through the day. · Manages all financial arrangements with patients, cash flow for the practice through collections via the patient or insurance company. · Must be comfortable discussing financial arrangements with patients. · Manages team accounts receivable. · Ensures all patients leave with a signed treatment plan before scheduling the next appointment. · Ensures the accuracy of the daily deposit by balancing all monies and credit cards and places it in the safe before the end of each day. · Maximizes payment for procedures on a daily basis via payment on day of service. · Files all dental/medical insurance and maximizes insurance benefits for patients without allowing insurance coverage to become the primary determinate for treatment. · Regularly monitors delinquent recall appointments and regularly reactivates inactive patients by following the current reactivation protocols. · Displays a keen ability to multi-task well, a self-starter who consistently takes initiative independent of what is required. · Assumes the role of the primary patient marketer of the individual practice and is competent with concepts of internal marketing, and is comfortable with being the “face of the practice”. · Is comfortable speaking with people by presenting a warm, confident, compassionate, professional appearance and demeanor whether on the phone or in person. · Exemplifies a caring attitude, cheerful and eager to help. · Compliance of all TOSHA and HIPPA regulations. · Compliance with any other duties deems necessary by your supervising doctor. Experience: · Two years dental experience is required. Ortho experience a plus. Job Type: · Full Time Monday-Friday 36-40 hours per week.
