Our private dental office is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated dental front desk coordinator. This position requires someone who has the ability to master the role of scheduling and coordinating dental treatment for patients. A friendly, confident attitude is a must. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a full schedule of patients daily Assist patients with understanding and accepting their clinical diagnosis Coordinate financial agreements for the patients portion of dental treatment costs Checking patients in and out and coordinating payments Communicate with offices to ensure proper xrays and documentation are received Communicate effectively with various insurance companies to verify and resolve any discrepancies Submit dental claims to insurance companies online, by mail and by fax Review EOB’s to ensure all procedures are paid correctly and in a timely manner Appeal non-paid procedures by either calling or sending a narrative Work aging reports to ensure all claims are paid properly Review delinquent accounts and sent appropriate correspondence Audit patient accounts for accuracy Ensure all record keeping is 100% accurate Make sure conversations are duly noted in the communciations logged when interacting with patients directly Support clinical staff Perform other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications: Clinical dental experience preferred 3 years or more of dental front desk experience preferred Experience with Open Dental preferred Determination and persistence to get needed insurance information Strong focus and attention to detail Professionalism in all aspects of job Good grooming and professional image Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and anticipation skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment Ability to work as part of a team Ability to learn and be trained in areas outside of your assigned role Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs as required
