Description

This position will play a key role providing quality dental care in our fast-growing Dental Care 24/7 facility in Athens, GA. The prime focus will be examining, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for infections and injuries of the teeth and mouth. Carrying out the treatment plan in a competent and efficient manner is then expected. We are committed to providing advanced technology, human capital, and physical infrastructure to help our providers deliver top quality patient care. Responsibilities/Expectations • Evaluate patients’ intraoral and peri-oral hard and soft tissue condition, including caries, endodontic/periodontal pathology, soft tissue, and developmental pathology. • Diagnose and treat emergency dental situations such as toothaches, broken teeth/restorations, dislodged crown/bridges, broken off denture teeth etc. • Develop patient treatment plan; including preventative, endodontic, surgical, periodontal, restorative, prosthetic and follow-up care. • Refer out complex endodontic, prosthodontic, surgical and periodontal treatment. Perform and complete the remaining portion of treatment plan. • Typically, all or nearly all of the treatment plan should be done in house. • The specific procedures in which the Dentist is expected to be proficient and expected to perform are: composite restorations, prosthodontic restorations and removable appliances, single and double canal endodontic therapy, extraction of erupted teeth and roots, prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planning. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS • An interest in treating emergency patients. Providing emergency, preventative and basic restorative care. • Graduate from an accredited Dental School/Doctoral Degree (DDS/DMD) • State dental license • At least 3 years of experience providing dental care • DEA certificate • CPR certification • Experience with Electronic Dental Records and digital radiography required • Strong communication and interpersonal skills SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS • Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment; and • TB clearance, to be renewed every year
