Description

My General Dental office is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Assistant to join my Downtown Dallas practice. Candidates must have at least 1+ years of dental assisting experience. As you would expect, responsibilities would include greeting patients, prepare exam and treatment rooms, monitor/order dental supplies as needed, and assisting this partially-bald-headed dentist :) during patient treatment(s) and exams. Between patients, clean exam rooms and replenish supplies. When not working with patients, you will also assist with administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones and organizing patient records as needed. Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities: *Gather patient information and health background information *Prepare the work area for treatment and exam procedures *Take digital xrays of patients teeth as necessary and display results for dentist *Assist dentist during examinations and dental procedures *Demonstrate expertise in capturing digital impressions and/or learn this technique. Ability to take traditional impressions *Patient education on good oral hygiene habits *Restock treatment areas, monitor and order dental inventory Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications: *RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certificate through the TSBDE or other State dental regulatory agency *Dental Assistant Certificate from an accredited vocational school. *1+ years of dental assisting experience *x-ray certification is a plus. *Current BLS and CPR certification Our office hours are 7am-4pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday hours are 7am-2pm. Monday is off. For this initial position in my office, I will contribute a percentage of your years salary to an accumilating, tax-deferred SEP/IRA account. Further, the first year, or partial year, you will receive a week of paid days off (our week is 4 days, as above) to be used this first yearr during the Christmas Holidays. Afterwards, you will recieve 2 weeks (8 days) paid days off. Four of these days can be used as needed within the year. The remaining four days to be used during the Christmas Holidays of that year. I have 4 employees presently. A front desk Business Associate. Two Hygienists: one full time and the other part time. And a Dental Assistant. The front desk Business Associate and my Dental Assistant are salary positions. The hygiene positions are hourly.
